A cabinetmaker in the area approached me and asked if I would do some carving on a J.F.K. reproduction desk for a professor at Boston University. The only thing the professor requested was that it needed to have a contemporary feel but retained the same historic design. I suggested using contrasting woods to gain the effect. In the end, the professor was quite please with his new desk which put a little of the american spirit in his office.
